AHARON EISENBERG. Top member of 1st Aliyah, prominent Zionist, co-founder of Rehovot, activist of "Hibbat Zion", arrived in Eretz-Israel with his wife in 1886, perfected himself as stonemason in Rishon Le Zion and Jaffa; one of founders of the Keren Kayemet Society for redeeming Eretz Israel lands, foreman on behalf of "Menucha & Nachala" Society, convinced its members to purchase the lands of Rehovot. (also purchased a large part of the land for Nes Ziona Colony in 1891). He persisted to hire Jewish laborers only & willingly paid them much more than for Arab workers, aided Yemenite newcomers to be settled in Rehovot Colony, founded "Neta'im" Society & was appointed advisor of the famed Zeev Tiomkin (who headed the Jaffa Executive Committee). He participated in the special mission which met with Baron Rothschild; he oversaw Jewish lands was a member of many Yeshuv institutions. This is a Hebrew typed letter, dated Jaffa 1928, addressed to the Anglo-Palestine Co. The text regards a land guarantee, for the bank loan to Shmuel Idelson (Zionist activist & pioneer). Land will be given to the bank if loan is not paid within two years. A 50 mil Palestine Revenue stamp is tied to the letter by Eiseberg’s signature & by a linear dater hstmp. FINE & SCARCE!!

1943-44 SET OF ROMANIAN JEWISH REGISTRATION WORK IDs AND REGULAR VOTER ID CARD Very rare set of Jewish Registration Work IDs and a Voter's ID card issued by the Kingdom of Romania during WWII to Sigmund Mendelsohn, a businessman and banker, Romanian citizen of Jewish ethnicity, living and working in Bucharest.
